• Protocol Console: Export… saves the shown transcript as a log file.

• Uploads to classic Hotline servers stalled at 0 bytes. The client sent the transfer handshake twice; it now sends it once, as the original Heidrun did.

• Connection uptime in the Task Manager. Each server shows when it connected and for how long; the time stops at an unexpected disconnect.

• Downloads from classic Hotline servers were corrupt. The client treated the transfer stream as a bare data fork, so the Hotline file envelope landed on disk and the last bytes of the file were cut off. Downloads, resumes and Quick Look previews now decode the envelope, sized from its own headers.
• Connecting from the tracker window now adds the server to Recent Servers, like the connect form does.

• Drop boxes and upload folders. Classic icons for folders named …upload… / …drop box…; a refused drop box is explained; Finder drops onto a folder row upload into that folder.

• Per-server attention. Each server window now shows unread badges on its sidebar items — private messages (counted per message), public-chat mentions of your nickname, private-chat invitations, server broadcasts, and new news posts. The window title carries a (N) marker (visible in the Window menu) and flashes briefly on new activity, and the Dock badge totals unread items across all connected servers. New toggles under Settings → Notifications → Attention.

• A private message arriving in a background window no longer opens the thread automatically; it stays unread until you view it.

• The Dock badge no longer flip-flops between servers when connected to more than one.

• Large files — over 4 GiB. Download and upload individual files, and whole folders, larger than 4 GiB when the server supports it. Transfers were previously capped at 4 GiB.

• Unicode text (UTF-8). Chat, nicknames, file and folder names, news, and the chat topic now handle emoji and non-Latin scripts when the server supports it. Connections to older servers keep using the classic Mac encoding.

• Folder downloads. Download an entire folder in one go — the whole subtree is recreated locally with a live progress bar, and partially downloaded files resume where they left off. If the target folder already exists you're asked whether to Replace, Merge, or Cancel.

• Drag and drop to move. Drag files or folders onto a folder row to move them on the server. Every subfolder now shows a .. row at the top: double-click it to go up a level, drop items on it to move them to the enclosing folder, or hover a drag over it to spring the view up while you keep dragging.

• The post count next to a news category now updates immediately after you post, delete, or edit a thread (it could previously stay stale — for example, showing one post over an empty category).

• Merging a downloaded folder into an existing local folder no longer duplicates or corrupts files that were already there.

• A folder download's progress tile no longer sticks at "Zero KB".

• The News view animates correctly when switched from the sidebar, the transcript keeps its scroll position, and a one-click sidebar selection glitch is fixed.

• The folder-conflict and download/upload conflict prompts are now fully localized in German and Japanese.

• Updated to heidrun-protocol 1.0.0-rc26 (folder download + live progress).
• Split ThreadBodyPane out of NewsView to keep files within the length limit.

• Content size. A new density control in Settings with four choices — Compact, Standard, Comfortable, and System Setting, which follows the macOS "Sidebar icon size" preference. Lists and message text scale to match.

• Complete German & Japanese localization. The whole interface is now fully localized in both languages — including the feature sidebar, error and confirmation dialogs, the file and bookmark panels, and the Touch ID prompt shown when unlocking a saved password.

• Refreshed sidebar styling and feature icons, plus assorted UI polish across Settings, the file list, and the task manager.

• Text in the Files, News, Chat, and Messages tabs that was already translated could still appear in English; it now renders in German and Japanese as intended.

• A "New…" menu item could reappear after being dismissed.

• Transcript styling tests track the resolved content-size body/caption sizes rather than hardcoded system font sizes.

• Privilege-aware controls now cover file and news operations too (1.0.4 brought them to the admin controls). When a server reports your account's privileges, Download / Upload / New Folder / Rename / Delete and the news Post / Reply / Edit / Delete / bundle actions disable for accounts that aren't allowed to use them. A convenience only — the server still enforces every action — and fail-open on servers that don't report them.

• News actions the server denied (e.g. deleting a post without permission) used to fail silently; they now surface the server's error.

• Protocol console: replies are correlated per connection, so two connections to the same server no longer mislabel each other's replies. The User Access push (TX 354) is labelled userAccess.
